The Mayan Sacrifice

Although they were not as violent as other tribes, they sacrificed many animals and living people. They gave a life to the gods so the gods would give them what they needed or wanted. When they had to sacrifice a person or an animal, they would paint them blue, the sacrificial color of the Mayans. They would stretch the victim over a rock by four religious men, then the chief would take his live heart. If they sacrificed a valiant warrior, the crowd would eat his remains.
