True
Treasures
Silver Dollars are small fish that are unusually circular. They
are silver in color. They look like real Silver Dollars. They are smaller
relatives of Pacus. Silver Dollars are plant eaters, therefore they make
excellent additions to a community tank.
Tank setup
Silver Dollars are schooling fish and should be kept in schools of five or
more. They are shy fish and don't like bright light. They need swimming room.
Live plants may be ate by these fish.
Feeding
Since Silver Dollars are herbivorous they need lots of plant type food in
their diet. Crushed up vegetable or algae wafers would be a good treat. They
should also be fed flake food daily. Make sure that they get enough food because
other fish may out-eat them.
Tank Mates
Idea tank mates would be about any other fish. These are not aggressive and
will NOT eat any meat.
