What are Dreams

Basically, we can dream about anything, absurd or not. Here are some examples:

Robert Louis Stevenson got his idea for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde from a dream.

Elis Howe, inventor of the sewing machine, had a dream giving him the idea to put a hole in the sewing needle. Now, the sewing machine can't do without it!
Problem Solving
As we've all seen on television and in the movies, you can find out about your dreams by going to a therapist, but you don't have to. Barret performed a survey with college students in 1993. It showed that at least one third of the students could solve their own problems with dreams. So if they can do it without a therapist, how 'bout you?
Psychological Symbols in Your Dreams Could Mean...
Angels- They are messengers from the unconscious bringing something to your attention. This could be answers to prayers, guardian angels, or just your conscience.

Animals- They represent your primitive side. They help you release your uncontrollable urges to do things.

Boats- They represent the"sea of life. " If the sea is stormy, you may be having some problems. If it is calm, your life seems to be going smoothly.

City-This stands for your relationship with certain groups of people and certain places. It just could mean the relationship you have with the outside world.

Dancing- Dancing stands for gracefulness and free spirit. Don't step on someone's feet, though! That could mean you need to get along better with somebody.

Embrace- There are people you can trust.

Flowers- They express loving thoughts and caring. They also represent abundance.

Forgetting Lines- You are fearing that you will not succeed. You may want to study more and improve skills.

Garden- It stands for the inner you. If it is a beautiful garden, it is a place of beautiful feelings. If you have a lot of weeds, you have some bad habits to work on. (ex.- chewing on fingernails.)

Hunting- This implies a competitive attitude and aggression.

Kiss- This is a symbol of affection and attraction.

Makeup- If you put on makeup, you could be wanting to put your best appearance forward, or you could be covering upon your true self.

Naked- You have told too much to someone, someone found out something personal, or you're just an exhibitionist.

School- You're feeling tested.

Storms- They represent violent events and feeling overwhelmed.

Time- You feel anxiety. People who dream about time feel they are running out of it. Like we are with this project.

War- Internal conflict has risen. It may be over a decision you have to make.
