Middle and High school Teaching

Do you like working with people, learning, being around your peers, and working with kids? Well, do I have the job for you. You could be a middle or high school teacher. This job is not only interesting but fulfilling. Come take a look and see why.

Do you remember being afraid of going up to the big middle school, thinking of all of the older kids, the homework, and most definitely having tons of different teachers in one day? I certainly do. I learned that it was even better to have lots of teachers. I learned exactly what they do and how important it is. In middle and high school the teachers each have one subject to teach. They might have a basic subject like math, reading, science, social studies, or language arts, or they could teach a subject like music art or physical education. Unlike elementary school teachers, they teach one subject lesson about 7 times in one day! The bright side of this is that they get to interact with a lot of different groups of students. This is were the fun stuff is. This is were they interact with pupils. They teach them facts and strategies of learning through many interesting and fun activities. Teachers almost have multiple jobs. They are educators, counselors, coaches, and friends. Wow! That's a lot of stuff for one person to do, but as one teacher said, "When you know that you have given a student valuable knowledge it's all worth it."

If you think you can just walk into a school and start teaching, you might want to check other pages in our website. But if you are willing to work hard, and have determination, it would be in your very best interest to read ahead. To be an educator, you must have the proper education. To teach at this level, you must have a bachelor's degree in the subject of your choice, you must have a teaching certificate, and you must have student observation and teaching experience. Now you can just walk into the school and teach! (So to speak)
