Being a diplomat is a very important job. You are responsible for a lot of people and places. A good thing about being a diplomat is you have many different options of employment. You could work for an embassy in another country. You would handle the communications between your country and the one that the embassy is set in. This would be working in immigration, law enforcement and business and trade affairs. You could also work in the political field. This involves pretty much the same thing. But, you could to act more as a decision maker and leader. This is almost like two jobs in one. Gosh, thaws pretty cool.
