Scooby, dooby doo, where are you? We need some help from you now. If you like drawing cartoons, you may want to let Scooby and his gang show you a few things about being an animator or cartoonist.

Cartoonists draw characters and scenes for, well, cartoons! Sometimes they may even draw for comic strips. Cartoons are made to show life in funny and entertaining drawings. Cartoons may even show how people live and think more than any prime-time drama series. But mostly, they are made to tell a funny for all ages story. They can also draw parodies for politics and sports. Have you ever-heard political parties referred to as the donkeys and elephants, that was the creation of a clever cartoonist, pretty cool, huh?

The average cartoonist mostly doesn't make it to the point of getting their creations in magazines and newspapers, but if you are an extremely good artist, you should start preparing now, because if you do get to this point, you could bring Saturday morning cartoons to the households of the whole country! Most artists have their own studios; they might even have their own production company, now that's cool! Today's animators are very excited about the innovations of computer animation; this is because the regular ink and paint aren't very attractive to the nose!

Believe it or not, cartoonists have deadlines just like you and me. This is because most kid's movies are cartoons, and if you make one it means you could be making big bucks. Actually, even freelance cartoonists may make upped 50-to $1,000 dollars per drawing. And if you really want to be a moneymaker, the comic strip business could earn you up to $100,000 a year. Another thing that is that you really doesn't need college education to be a cartoonist. All you need is sharp eyes, patience, and the willingness to give your talent to the world.
