Lucy Stone

1818-1893

 

Lucy Stone faced many obstacles in her life but she never gave up without a fight. She toured the country lecturing, holding conventions and giving speeches on women's rights and slavery. She, with the help of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, formed the Woman's National Loyal League. For twenty years after the Civil War, she ran the American Women's Suffrage Association.
