This cartoon was created by one of the many suffragists newspapers. It's trying to point out that the U.S. government can not last if only the men are running it. You need both men and women to make a government that will stay afloat.

 

 

The chart above shows the status of states that gave women the right to vote. In 1909 there were only four. Seven years later 1 2 states gave women the right to vote.

The sign above is a poster made by anti-suffragists trying to get people to vote against given women the right to vote. The poster says that by voting for women's suffrage you are saying you don't think the men of this country can run the government by themselves.

The chart above shows the dates each country gave women the right to vote. Please note that it took the United States 39 years after the first country, Isle of Man, to give women the right to vote. According to this chart it wasn't until 1984 that Lichtenstein give women the right to vote.
