Preamble "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
The 19th Amendment was passed by congress on August 26,1920. This amendment states that all people can not be denied the right to vote because of their sex. It took many decades of lectures, marching and lobbying to achieve this goal. Many men and women dedicated their lives to making this amendment.
