Laura Ingalls Wilder was born on Thursday, January 10, 1865 in Pepin, Wisconsin. Her parents were Charles and Caroline Ingalls. She had three sisters, Mary, Carrie and Grace. The Ingalls moved first to Indian Territory, then to Plum Creek, then to De Smet. She married Almanzo Wilder on August 25, 1885. They later moved to Mansfield, Missouri. She wrote Little House on the Prairie.
Mark Twain was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30, 1835. His real name was Samuel Longhorn Clemens. In 1847 his father died in debt, so he went to work for a newspaper and printing firm. He wrote "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" in 1876. He died of heart disease in Redding, Connecticut on April 21, 1910. He wrote Tom Sawyer.
Daniel was born in London. His father was a butcher and candle maker merchant. Daniel started a business career, but he went bankrupt, and started corrupting. Daniel wrote Robinson Crusoe.
Louisa was born in 1832 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She worked to gain voting rights for women. Though she was born in Pennsylvania, she grew up in Boston and Concord, Massachusetts. She was the author of Little Women.
