Pharaohs and Queens
Some of the most famous Pharaohs and Queens were from Egypt.
They lived in fancy places. When they died they were put into special tombs called pyramids. There they were stored for the afterlife. There were always curses put on the king's and queen's tomb so that no one could ever bother them. Just like any other royalty today, they made the rules and kept their lands and people safe. If they were betrayed, they would punish that person who betryed them. They got whatever they wanted and had there own royal procession when they came to a place. The following Egyptians were Pharaohs or queens: King Ahmose, King Amenhotep, Cleopatra, Queen Hetepheres, King Khafre, King Khufu, King Menes, King Menkaure, Queen Notmit, King Tut, and King Ramses. There were over 2,000 different Pharaohs and Queens. This is only a few of them. A lot of them are not even known.
