The Golden Retriever is one of the best dogs
to have around the house. They are medium-sized hunting dogs. The
Golden Retriever is used as a guide dog for blind people. The dog
itself stands 21 1/2 to 24 inches tall. They weigh from 55-75 lbs.
They were first bred in Scotland in about 1870. This dog needs a lot
of exercise and lots of food but does not need much
grooming.
It is an energetic dog and good for
families.
