 1. Answer: Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers are good with children. Most dogs with the correct training can make good family pets.

2. Answer: I'm associated with Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The breeds we use for seeing eye dogs are Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and German Shepherds. But,there are many different schools that train dogs for handicapped people that use a variety of dogs.

3. Answer: I ask questions. I ask my veterinarian and my obedience instructor. I go onto the Internet to look up information as well. Experienced people are my best source for information.

7. Answer: Most states have laws to go by as to when (what age) a pup can be sold. Eight weeks of age is the average.

9. Answer: Consistency, as with children. I find that having a schedule and being consistent in my training is what brings out the best in my dogs.
