They can be tan, red, dapple, yellow, striped, and tan and black mixed. Dachshunds will make very good watch dogs and great pets. They are a good pet for an older person because they do not require a lot of exercise, feeding, or grooming. Children love these dogs because of their shape and their lovable faces.
