David Copperfield


     David Copperfield is loved by audiences all over the world. His real name is David Seth Kotkin. He was born in New Jersey, September 16, 1956 and later changed his name to David Copperfield. At the age of 10 he decided to perform magic. Then, at the age of 12, he began performing magic in his home town of Metuchen, New Jersey. He performed using the name "The Boy Davino". A little while later he was the youngest magician to be accepted to the Society of American Magicians, which was a major accomplishment.

    When he was 16, he taught magic at New York University. At college, Copperfield was in a musical called "The Magic Man". That was the first time he used his stage name, David Copperfield. He created all the magic in the show. It became the longest running show in Chicago. David Copperfield, along with several others, have brought magic into the twenty-first century. He has performed and continues to perform for people all over the world.
