New York

        The capital of New York is Albany. The state bird is the bluebird and the state tree is the sugar maple. The state flower is the rose and their state song is " I Love New York."  It is located in Eastern time, with 49,108 sq. mi. as the area. The highest point is Mt. Marcy, and the lowest point is the Atlantic Ocean at sea level. The Algonquian and Iroquois, some of the most powerful Indian groups in America, lived in the area of New York.
