Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press.  His invention of the printing press has made a big difference on communication.  He was born into a noble family in Mainz, Germany.  He trained to be a goldsmith.  He was born in 1398 and lived until 1468.  In 1428 he moved to Strasbourg and remained for over 20 years.
