Up Florida Fish and WIldlife FGFWFC Endangered Species

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FFWC) is an organization that protects and deals with anything to do with fish and wildlife in Florida. They make sure that all of the animals are safe and the waters where the fish live unpolluted. FFWC also defends and makes laws for the fish and wildlife in Florida. They make hunting laws, fishing laws, and boating laws so that all of the animals are protected and the environment is good.

In the past, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has made a lot of changes to the Everglades. FFWC makes a lot of rules about animals and the road. For instance, they made sure that the speed limit is lower because of the panthers and other big mammals. They also made fishing laws and rules for the Everglades (no more than 5 fish at a time) so there is enough for the wading birds.

Right now, the FFWC is helping the Florida Fresh Water Fish and Game commission with saving the Cape Sable Sparrow and the Snail Kite. They are really trying to help both animals.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is part of a big association called Teaming with Wildlife (TWW). It is a national organization of 3,000 wildlife groups and businesses that want to get funding for wildlife differences, strongly supporting non-game wildlife. TWW was formed to find a way to get money for wildlife that isn’t hunted or fished and that didn’t have a secure source of funding through license money. The original TWW idea was a “user-fee” concept where they would have a fee to rent tents and binoculars. Congress did not like this so instead the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (CARA) made a rule that would make annual money for saving the endangered species.
