III. The Skeleton:

A shark’s skeleton is not made up of bones, but cartilage. If you cut into a shark, it doesn’t look as though it has a rib cage, but it really does; it is just made out of cartilage. A shark’s skull is one big piece of cartilage protecting the brain.
