In our school we developed a Peace Pledge that is a pledge to uphold the six pillars of good character. They are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. We went from class to class telling about the Peace Pledge, to see if other kids would join our cause. Our cause is to make peace throughout the world. In order to do this, students had to make a commitment to try to uphold the six pillars of good character.
Four-hundred sixty-five students and teachers signed the Peace Pact. That is about 80% of the total number of students and teachers in our building.
