Materials

Clear or white alcohol

1-liter bottle

blue food coloring

Procedure

1. Fill the bottle 1/3 full of water.

2. Then add blue food coloring.

3. Fill the rest of the bottle full of alcohol.

4. Then screw on the top.

5. Lay the bottle horizontally then move the bottle side to side.

Result

Waves are created in the bottle.

Why

The alcohol can't mix with water so it pushes the water to make a wave.
