MATERIALS NEEDED
1 rubber band
1 balloon
1 cardboard cylinder such as an oatmeal container
Scissors

PROCEDURE
1. Make a circular hole at the bottom of the container.
2. Cut the balloon in the middle and toss the half that has the opening.
3. Use the other half to cover the opening of the container. Stretch the balloon tight.
4. Secure it with the rubber band.
5. Pull the balloon and let it go.

RESULT
When you let go of the rubber band, you shoot out a bullet of compressed air.

WHY?
When the bullet of compressed air hits the still air in the room, it turns into an invisible smoke ring.
