Roman World

The Roman World is an easy place to get
lots of archaeological information because it

was so vast. It stretches from its capital,
Rome, all the way to Great Britain. The Romans held
their territory from about 800 BC, all the way to 476 AD,
when the barbarians attacked.
Rome is famous for many reasons. If you go there, you can see luxuries, their amazing engineering feats, their military might and the thing that kept the Roman Empire together, the government.

Because of the Romans' skill, many of their buildings survived the test of time. Some of those that did are now used as apartment buildings, hotels and many other things.
