The Prince and Princess of Jade

WHO is in it: Prince Liu Shang and Princess Tou Wan.
WHAT it was: Two tombs containing jade suits and many other treasures.
WHEN it was made: 113 BC.
WHERE it was made: 90 miles SW of Beijing at Mancheng.
WHY: Because they believed that jade would protect their bodies from decay and give immortality.
HOW: By 2690 jade pieces for the prince, and 2150 jade pieces for the princess, sewn together by gold wire.

WHO found it: soldiers.
WHAT it is: The tombs of Prince Liu Shang and Princess Tou Wan.
WHEN: 1968.
WHERE: 90 miles SW of Beijing at Mancheng.
WHY is it important : Because the artifacts and treasures found in the tomb give much information about royal life and death in Ancient China.
HOW did they discover it: They saw stone chippings that were not recently made, so they decided to dig there.
