Israel

Israel is an excellent civilization to study. In Israel, archaeology seems to be all around you. It was the birthplace of three religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Archaeologists have found out many amazing things from their digs. For example, the city of Jericho is over 10,500 years old. Even though archaeologists can't verify whether Joshua and his trumpet caused Jericho's walls to tumble down as described in the Bible, they have found ancient remnants of collapsed walls there.

The three digs I chose from there are Caesarea, Tel Dor, and Sepphoris.
