Mysteries
Mesa Verde
Mesa Verde was a great city cut into the mountains in Colorado. The Anasazi were the settlers. They left in the 13th century suddenly. Nobody knows why, but some theories are that there was a mini-Ice Age and it became too cold to farm, the people were starving, so they warred and invaded each other for food. Other people think that the stress of living in a defensive site, cramped and in fear of attack was too much for them, so they left.
Why did they leave?
1. The climate turned too cold to farm.
2. The villages raided each other and warred with each other.
3. The stress of living in defensive sites was too much for them.
