Tel Dor is an exciting archeological site because the oldest find there
dates back over 3,000 years. During the summer of 1998, examples of glass
were found at at a Tel
Dor archaeological site. These are the oldest example of glass ever
found. The glass dates back to 1200-1000 B.C.E. The glass was found by German
volunteers who were working with the Cornell University team. Archaeologists
have also found a furnace, bellows pot, and jars. The jars show that there
was lots of trade even during the first part of the Iron Age.
