The Chinese empire had many dynasties who all played their part in Chinese history. The dynasties ranged from 1788 BC to 1912 AD. The Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC) is one of the most famous because it was responsible for the beginning of construction of the Great Wall and the creation of the famous emperor's tomb that included the Terra-cotta army. The Ancient Chinese contributed many inventions including kites, fireworks, water clocks, wheelbarrows, compasses and paper.
