Description

        The tiger shark got its name because it has dark stripes like a tiger. It is rarely seen. The tiger shark also has a broad nose. The average female tiger shark is 16 feet long. The average male tiger shark is 12 feet long. The tiger shark can give birth to 10 to 82 pups at a time. At birth, the pups are 20-30 inches (1 foot, 8 inches-2 feet, 6 inches) long.
