EXAMPLE

Price is $63.1/8

1/8 = .125. Round it out. .125 is about .13. The price is $63.13

$63.13 * 100 = $6313.00

Broker's fee is .02

$6313.00 * .02 = $126.26

$6313.00 + $ 126.26 = $ 6439.26

$100,000 - $ 6439.26 = $ 93560.74

After the stock is bought to find out how much money you have made or lost follow these steps.

Find out the change. If there are any fractions, convert them to decimals. Multiply that amount by the # of shares you own. If the stock went up, this # will be how much you made. If the stock went down, this # is how much you lost.

EXAMPLE

change is + 1/2

1/2 = .50

.50 * 100 = $50 profit

EXAMPLE

change is - 1/2

1/2 = .50

.50 * 100 = $50 lost
