It's mysterious, interesting and cool...It's the Lochness Monster. You might be asking some of these questions to yourself about the "Nessie" like "did anybody really ever see the Lochness Monster, or do people just make up an imaginary monster?" Another question you might ask is "was, or is, the Lochness Monster harmful?" You will find the answers to those questions and more information about the Nessie if you read this Web site. The information that you learn from this Web site will keep you wondering all about the Lochness Monster, and you can become a Lochness Monster Master!!!

The Lochness Monster, known as the "Nessie", is supposed to be a water-like monster that swims in the seas of the 800 foot lake located in Scotland. The monster is thought to be around 40 feet in length.
The Lochness Monster got its name from the lake that it swims in called the "Loch".
The water is cold and murky - just the right type for the Lochness Monster! The monster is also thought to have a long neck with a wide body.

Scotland was buried under ice during the most recent glacial age. The ice soon thawed, and the land rose. The ice melted, the land rose, and salt water disappeared. All of a sudden fresh lakes were formed, and the oceans were now trapped in the newly formed landscape. So there is a possibility that the Lochness story is true, yet no remains of the Lochness Monster have ever been found!

Some people think the Lochness Monster is a fake, and all it does is cause chaos. Those people also think that photographers just take pictures and movies to frighten people. But somewhere out in the lakes of Scotland, I think there is a Lochness Monster swimming in the deep waters in Scotland!!!
