This part of the
Bigfoot section will tell you about how people made a hoax
Bigfoot.
Hoax footprints have been made from wooden feet and altered boots.
Some companies produced pairs of oversized, plastic, strap-on feet
that would make footprints to scare your friends and family. Two hoax
films exist also. A carcass, the "Minnesota Iceman", was also
believed to be a hoax.
An incident in 1924 involved a group of miners near Mount Saint
Helen. The miners found a Bigfoot and shot it. They also killed it.
That night the Bigfoot's friends began throwing stones at the miners'
cabin and pounded on the walls. The miners packed up and abandoned
the mine the next day. Years later a miner came forward and confessed
that he'd been throwing the stones at the cabin as a joke, which in
the other miners' opinions, wasn't very funny.
