Period: Tyrannosaurus Rex lived in the Cretaceous period which was about 85 to 65 million years ago. During this time the Earth was very active. There were many volcanic eruptions.
Habitat: Only about a dozen T-Rex fossils were discovered. T-Rex fossils were found in Western North America and what is now Mongolia. So these were probably the places the T-Rex lived.
Diet: T-Rex was a meat-eater. The T-Rex probably chased its prey and then ate it. Dr. Kenneth Carpenter found a healed T-Rex tooth mark on a hadrosaur (a duck billed dinosaur). This is proof that T-Rex was an active predator.
Size: The T-Rex was about 40 ft. long and and about 15-20 ft.. tall. The T-Rex weighed nearly 5 to 7 tons.
Description: The T-Rex walks on two legs and has a huge head with large, pointed, replaceable teeth. The T-Rex has tiny arms with two fingers each.T-Rex had a slim and pointed tail that improved balance and helped it take quick turns while running.
