The ride:

On the ride to the beach many people got sick and they recieved tons of spray. Half way to the beach the boat usully had a bunch of water and vomit in it. There were many different men with different weapons. Some of the weapons were rifles, bazzokas, and pistols. When they got closer to the beach the obsticles that the germans had placed were in full view. Some of the obsticles were huge metal xs with mines on them, belgiam gates (iron frames with iron supports) mined slakes, long ramps, (to tear or tip over the boats) and rows of just plain things made out of metal. They could then see up to the beach wear they saw huge steel emplacements called bunkers. As they got very close to the beach the Germans would do anything to try to stop the boats. The soldiers in the boats would then charge out into the wildest battles in their lives.
