How to Use Softlight

| 1. Open the picture in Adobe | ![]() |

2. Go to "image" adjust brightness/contrast 3. Increase the contrast until you see a little blue or red shadow 4. Decrease the brightness to add a little gray to the picture...click "ok" | ![]() |
| 5. Back to the picture, use the magic wand and click on the background and delete. | ![]() |

6. Now, add another layer (layer, new layer) and in the mode change it from normal to soft light....click "ok" 7. Practice adding a color to change the picture. | ![]() |
| 8. Make sure you are in the second layer, choose the paint bucket and fill with a color. | ![]() |
| 9. Once you have some color you can keep adding soft light layers and even use the airbrush tool to look like watercolor. | ![]() |
