Architecure Of Japan

by Courtney

In the history of Japan, they did not have many resources such as tools, wheels and metal. So they just built with wood. Most of their temples were built from wood. They had large roofs that curved gracefully and drooped.

Many families lived in large two-story houses, while others lived on crowded streets and cities. The large houses were built with paper covered screens called shoji. Also their houses were built with up to three layers of roofs. Their houses also looked very peaceful because there was very little furniture. Studying Japan architecture was fun. I hope I can study it again soon.
