The sabor-toothed tiger is an animal from the Ice Age. The sabor-toothed tiger is an extinct part of the cat family. The sabor-toothed tiger was in no sense a tiger. They were more like wild cats. They had enormous, black teeth which were 18cm. (7inches). They walked flat footed just like bears. Sabor-toothed tigers were able to bring down large prey such as mastodons. A reason the sabor-toothed tiger became extinct was that all the animals they ate became extinct. The sabor-toothed tiger became extinct 40,000 years ago.
