Tools and Weapons
The rocks were important to the humans during the ice ages. The Asians came here because the followed the mammoths across the Beringia/Siberian land bridge. They used them for weapons and tools to help them survive. When glaciers melt, they leave behind soil and rocks, often in mounds and ridges called moraine. That is how the people who lived in the Ice Age discovered one of their weapons, rocks. They sometimes found rocks or arrowheads covered in ice sheets. That is how they another one of their weapons, spears. The humans learned to improve their crude implements. A few years later the humans used one stone, they would hammer away another, sharpening the sides and end. The reason they used the sticks was to make fire (they were the first), so they could keep warm.
Scientists did not really know what kind of shelter the Ice Age people lived in, but they believe that they made igloos. Scientists also believe that they ate pollen and remains of plants and animals. The very first tools that the Ice Age people used were sticks and stones (not granite) that were picked up off the ground.
