After many punishments by a cruel officer Clardy, Jeff fights in his first battle in which he and another man save the union’s artillery and he receives a Medal of Honor. After becoming a Cavalry trooper and meeting his love, he becomes a scout and after going deep undercover joins the Confederacy, and uncovers a terrible scheme that could mean the fate of the Union.
