


Behavior
- Polar bears are not sociable
creatures. One polar bear will pass another, leaving a length of a
soccer field between them!
- Polar Bears loaf and do as
little as possible. It is called "V Hibernation" and it's the best
way to get through the summer.
- They spend the winter on the
ice eating seals. They come ashore in summer.
- The Hardy Polar Bears swim by
padding with their front legs and stretching thier head
forward.
- Polar Bears have a keen sense
of smell.
- Mother polar bears protect and
guard thier babies.
- Most cubs live with thier
mothers for the first 2 years.
