1. Draw a circular shape for the head. Then draw a short, fat oval under the circle and another, smaller wval under that.Finally, put in a long, skinny oval shape for a tail.

2. Next add some legs. Put three jointed legs on eachside. Add two small antennae at the top of the head.

3. Now add two pairs of large, wide wings. Draw a graph pattern on the wings using slightly wavy lines. Put in detail as shown. Add two small wings on both sides of the dragonfly's body.

4. Draw wings on the other side as well.

5. Add details on the head, front legs, weins in wings, and lines on the abdomen.

6. Complete your drawing by adding more shading and about a zillion cells on each wing. Look closely at the example above, and take your time drawing them.
