My name is Brittany. I'm 11 years old and attend sixth grade at Lehua Elementary. I was born in California but have lived In Hawaii for about three years now. Hawaii is the eighth place I have moved in my life because my Dad is in the military. I really enjoy playing the piano and flute, dancing hula, playing outside with my friends, riding my bike, running, rollerblading, and swimming. I live with both of my parents and have one cat named Kapakahi. I also have one brother and one sister. My sister is five and my brother is 9.

I did the section on volcanoes for Think Quest Jr. I found out about why they happen, what are the signs, how to be prepared, what exactly happens when a volcano erupts, where they are common, and a couple of other things about volcanoes such as the legends about them. It was a lot of work trying to do all of the research about such a big topic by myself, like I think it was for everyone.

In Think Quest Jr., I have two great coaches, Mr. Matsunaga and Ms. Kawasaki. They really help us out with advice and guided us through the whole making of this web page. I also have three other teammates, and most of the time we get along. Our biggest problem was probably when people dropped out because it put that much more pressure on us, but we managed to do okay.
