around. Bail:Leave the board under control. Digs: A bruise. Slalom: Riding around markers or cones. 50/50: A slide on both axles or trucks done in
vertical skating. Pedaling: Pushing and gliding on a flat
surface. Stoked: Ready for action, excited. Tic-Tac: Kick turn left and right in rapid
succession. Flex:The bending or give of a board. Freestyle:Graceful riding and tricks done in
competition. Freestyle: Skateboarders who do tricks. Truck: The unit that holds the wheels, axles, and
bearings. Goofy foot: Riding with the right foot
forward. Kicktail:The angled (curved) tail of a board necessary
for some tricks. Ollie: Flying forward through the air without grabbing
the board. Thrasher: Skateboarding expert. Wheelie: Balancing on one set of wheels with the other
end up. Snap or Punch: The way a board comes back after it has
reflected. Standard and Regular Foot: Riding with the left foot
forward. Street: The style of skating on sidewalks, curbs, and
street-type ramps. Vertical: Skating on ramps and, usually, doing air
tricks. Weighing and Unweighing: Standing and squatting on the
board.
