Galadriel Hopkins, Gilly, has been changing from one foster family to the next. She disliked them all, and acted like it. People say she is brilliant, but completely horrible when you get to know her. Now she has been sent to a new family, the Trotters. Gilly hates them as well, and sets up a new plan for her real mother to come and "save" her. Although she planned for months, it doesn't work as Gilly wanted it to. She realizes that she likes the Trotters, and she doesn't want to leave them.
