Memoirs of a Bookbat
By Kathryn Lasky

Harper, a 12-year-old girl, lives in a trailer with her family. Her parents are migrants for God, and travel around the country frequently. Harper goes to different schools about every month or so, and she doesn't make many friends. She counts on the library and it's books that keep her company in her loneliness. Now her family is visiting schools and speaking about what books shouldn't be published because the content sets bad roles for children. Those are the books that Harper is reading, and she doesn't know where to turn. Her only hope is Gray, her best and only friend. Will Harper be able to find a way out of the problem without hurting her family?
