Learning

There is no simple direct link between brain size, and intelligence. What seems more important is brain size compared to body size and how the brain is constructed.

Intelligence is the ability to use thought and knowledge to understand things and to solve your problems. Most animals aren’t very good at learning to do things. Learning and memory are tools that make humans intelligent. Most animals don’t rely on learning and memory. They rely on instincts.

Most of human behavior is based on what our brains let us know and remember.

Thinking is what we do all the time. It is very easy to do. Every time a thought comes into your head, signals are sent through thousands of neurons. No one is sure exactly how it happens. But we do know that the association cortex analyzes, processes, and stores information and makes it possible for us to think, speak, and remember.
