Cerebral Palsy is a brain disease that some people are born with. It is caused by not getting enough oxygen to the brain. It usually happens during birth. The person tends to have a clumsy walk, lack of balance, shaking, jerky movements, and unclear speech. Half of one percent of the people in the world have cerebral palsy.

Spina bifida is also a disease that people are born with. It effects the spine. It is caused when the bones of the spine do not close. The patients get weaknesses of the hips, legs, and feet.

Hydrocephalus occurs when there is too much fluid in the brain. The increase of pressure can either be the result of or an obstruction of the flow, or even failure of the structures. Approximately 1 out of every 1,000 children get this disease. Hydrocephalus can also be acquired after birth from a several different causes.
