A second disease to the brain is a stroke. A stroke is caused when a blood vessel going to the brain or a vessel in the brain becomes blocked and blood can’t reach the nerve cells.

Schizophrenia is a third disease to the brain. It is caused when there is a disturbance in the thinking part of the brain. It is a mental illness. It affects moods, behavior, and thinking. Patients become confused and afraid because they think people are going to harm them. They also may hear strange voices and see visions.

Alzheimer’s Disease is also a disease to the brain. It is when the brain shrinks as nerve cells die and pieces of amy-loid form in the brains tissue and disturb nerve-cell connections. Patients forget events that happened years earlier. They also become bedridden and most patients die from infections or chronic disease eight to ten years after contracting to the disease. There is no cure for this disease.

Meningitis is when the protective layers that cover the brain get infected. They become inflamed and swollen, usually as a result of infection by germs.
