Hello in many languages.

The people living in Texas and all the United States represent many different cultures, such as Hispanic, German, Chinese, and Irish. Although each of these cultures has their own unique history they have all given us a rich heritage of traditions, food, religious beliefs, and other customs. These customs are like patches on a quilt; each patch represents a piece of a culture and the quilt is sewn together to form our heritage that includes parts of all cultures.

Our web page will provide information on different parts of cultures and the gifts different cultural groups gave to our heritage. We will examine the folk life of different groups who came to Texas.  Through our research we have discovered that the immigrants who came to other parts of America shared many of these same experiences. This web page includes information on the cultures as well as projects and activities.

Join us as we celebrate those journeys and the treasures which came to us from lands far awayAfter reading about the different traditions of cultures sign our guest book and tell us about traditions that your family shares.
