TRADITIONAL FOLK COSTUMES

Immigrants would dress in their traditional folk costumes for special holidays, festivals, and celebrations.  They would perform folk dances that came from their homeland on these occasions. Their folk costumes developed over many centuries.  There were different variations of the costumes depending upon the region or village they immigrated from.  These pictures were done to show a collection of what some of the costumes might have looked like.
